This piece gradually exposes a melody from the beautiful Agnus Dei of Krzysztof Penderecki's Polish Requiem (Ab, G, F, C, Db, Eb, Db, C), resulting in harmonic structures that are at times chromatic, and other times tonal and reminiscent of Samuel Barber's Adagio.
